I have a Trimble dini22 digital level and I need to transfer files from the level to my PC. This is a 2005 model level. The user guide does not mention any particular software needed for transfer.
I am trying to connect to PC with Windows mobile device center through a USB connection. the PC does not seem to recognize the level when I connect to the level.
Does anyone have any suggestions for downloading files?

If your PC is Windows 10 and you are trying to make WMDC work and you have the Creator's Edition and you have not implemented the fix; then: [ Win10-WMDC ]

You do not need any special software. I use free "RS-232 Data Logger" it records data to a file from serial port that is send to computer. Just set the Parameter (Baud Rate, Parity,...) at both DINI and PC and start sending data from DINI to PC. Menu-4-1-3. See manual page 6-11.
easiest way is to use the short cable to connect a USB stick.
i think it might be the same as the one for the ACU docking station.
