We struggle with the interface between the Nomad (Spectra Precision 5.4.2) and our computers running Windows 7. I have been trying to get a usable raw file from the Nomad to process all day with no success. I can view the raw file on the Nomad, but a section of observations is missing. This isn't the first time we've had issues. All the importing and exporting of text files and job files.... We used to download directly to our program in the day! Do we really have to buy the software from Spectra to have a more seamless experience?
TIA

This is how you do it with the Ranger
Menu>File>Export>Survey Pro 4.x (JOB / RAW) File
It's probably very similar on the Nomad
I can export no problem. The resulting raw file is total garbage

If your Nomad has a USB port try to insert a USB memory stick and copy the raw file to the stick instead of cable connection.
Send it via email? I do it daily with my epoch 50 and nomad combo. But im using an older version of survey pro.

I don't know if this is part of your problem but it seems as though I had to associate the file type .RAW to be opened by default by the Notepad program on my PC so I could read them.
