We have a drawing that we used as a base to a other drawing, but it was not renamed after it was revised. The drawing was saved and closed about a week ago.
Is there anyway to recover the original drawing now?
We are using CS 2013 standalone.

Windows Explorer has a feature called Restore Previous Version. Right click the file and you should see a menu that offers that option. Sometimes it requires that you restore the folder rather than the file.

Did you check you autosave file? I have recovered drawings that way.

Also, check to see if the .bak file created when the drawing was opened is the pre-edited version of the drawing.

First thing to do is rename the current file. Then start looking for autosaves and backup files.
