I dont know how many of you guys have or are using Quantum GIS, but they have really put a lot into this program. I hadnt used it since the pre 1.0 version and it really seems to have enough functionality for stand alone operation. It also seems to work and play very nicely with ESRI and has all of the HARN systems which is something that Manifold still doesnt have.

If you are looking for a good GIS program alternative to ESRI, look no further. The price is right.

funny, I just re-down loaded this over the weekend and am playing with it as well.. looks pretty solid so far.

I'm using it as a more versatile alternative to ARC Explorer. Printing was crazy at first, but I seem to have gotten a handle on it
