I have written a few specialized programs in the S35. Feeling lazy and wonder if anyone is using a purchased survey program set for the S35? Are the programs user friendly?

Yes I use the D'Zign software. It takes a while to key it all in. If you already know how to input program instructions it isn't too bad. It tales a few hours broken up into two secession on two different days. Actually I tried to key in only routines that I would need or use, but you have to be sure you get all of the core routines too.

I really like the HP35s, I do wish it had external memory and would link to a computer. I use it all the time for the extra calculations we need to perform, even with programs running on our desktops.

I also use the D'Zign programs. I also have a handful of the LSS Miracle Software programs. Both seem to work pretty good.

I've developed a fairly sophisticated Survey program for the HP Prime calculator.
Thinking of making it Shareware or in the low $ range.
Lots of adjustment and coordinate tweaking functions. (best fit line, force to line/curve, etc, etc)
Plus does continuous Alignments (NE -> StaOff -> NE)
Can address Pt#'s 1-10,000
Connects to a PC.
Wasn't sure that there is a interest/demand for handheld Survey calculations these days.
I'm retired so it was more an intellectual exercise and labor of love.

Would this thing go?

I bought a total of 2 complete cogo programs as well as some free stuff, and then rewrote everything to get it exactly as I want.

It is nice and fast and great for the exam, but for field calculations, it will never come close to a 48.

A Mr. Jason E Foose wrote some programs and published them in a series in American Surveyor. I punched em in for fun, and found it to be a worthwhile exercise especially since I had never written any but the most simple programs on my own.

I also have entered the entire series, to date, and also " found it to be a worthwhile exercise especially since I had never written any but the most simple programs on my own", at least not in RPN.

I thought I would share my 4 most commonly used programs for the HP35s.

All of these are "screen entry" for speed and ease of use between my other programs. "Screen entry" means you enter the values on the screen and then fire up the program. The program will not be prompting you for any inputs.
