Is it possible to cut off a parcel of predetermined area in Carlson SurvCE 4.0 on a Carlson 2 data collector, using a bearing cut off line or by a hinged point? I've searched for this function but can't seem to find it.

Demo'd their product and could not find it. I use the command often in TDS and Topsurv to satisfy minimum parcel size for zoning. When I asked the rep he couldn't find it either, and made some comment about keeping the 48 w/cogo card around for situations like that. Demo over.

Predetermined area is found in the MAP VIEW. Select COGO, then AREA, you will then have options for which to choose. Prior to selecting area, create a closed polyline connecting the points of the parcel.
