Well, if you downloaded the grid files for Xi and Eta, you're doing better than me. I just tried to download them for Grid #6 and while the file with the Xi components came right through, Eta gives me only this:

I wonder if the NGS server is just having a bad day. Have you tried downloading the files again just to make sure one wasn't corrupted?

I had the same problem, but sadly don't remember how I solved it. Try making sure your defined sub-grid lies entirely within the grid files you downloaded, and mess around with the LL format you input. I have only had to do this a couple of times, and I remember it not working on the first try in each instance. Sorry.

I'm in the process of doing that now...

I managed to get grid #6 files, I can't convert those either.

I'm going to try again to download the Eta file.

Well, this is just strange. I can download all of the Xi files, but requesting most of the Eta files in PC binary format just gives the same "you don't have permission ..." message.

Yes, that's the error message that appears when I click the file link to download it.

I didn't get the error message. I only noticed something was a miss when the file only contained 1kb of data. I sent an email to the NGS webmaster inquiring about the issue.

I get the same error with every grid # I've tried (except #0).

I downloaded Grid 0 several months ago, and that's what I have been using. It contains ALL eight sub-grids (I think).

There is nothing wrong with the server, but you are correct, these files have been restricted. I will contact the developer and if they are ready for release I will update the permissions and email you. I hope he will reply shortly.
