We are looking for a free or low cost Autocad viewer that can read the object data. We collect features on points in the field. The features are exported as shape files. We use the mapimport command to import the shape file. When you do this you can assign a block and attach the data to the block. When you use object properties and select the block that data is visible in the property dialog box. Does anybody of a viewer that will allow you to get this data without having Autocad.

Thanks

Mike

Try TrueView, it's free.

(there's also a free smart phone viewer)

Thanks, but we have already tried Trueview and Design review. We don't have a smart phone to try the mobile viewer.

I like AutoCAD Map with DWGgateway.

Bentley View will allow you to view and print most any cad file.
