What do you recommend?
I haven't a model in mind. Just a comment or two.
I've an older Microsoft keyboard with dedicated buttons for cut copy and paste amongst others.
They stopped supporting it but I kept using until a month or 2 ago I changed to another similar without the cut copy paste.
I was making heaps typing errors and realised this later keyboard was a lot narrower and keys closer together.
I'm back to old model and typing skills have dramatically improved.
The width and layout maybe worth considering if you've been accustomed to the old one a long time. I have large hands so that didn't help either.
I had occasionally thought of a gaming one to customise for Cad, but haven't pursued that, preferring alias's instead of shortcut keys.
However that may be an option?
Get one that includes a spell check 🙂

Agreed. I like the Logitech G-Series, especially the 710+. It's a mechanical keyboard, so it is louder. I just like the feel of the old fashioned mechanical keys.
The other option is a G105. Not mechanical, with fewer bells and whistles, but about $60 cheaper.
Edit- Forgot to post the reason to go with the G-Series. They have macro keys that you can assign to various tasks and keyboard inputs. I have some set up to do common autocad functions that I don't want to have to type over and over again.
I've been using the Microsoft Natural keyboards for 15 years or so, and wouldn't want to go back to a standard layout. My wrists are much happier at the angle afforded by the split key layout.
Thanks to all. Gonna try this one for about $20:
Logitech K350 WAVE
Microsoft Wireless Wave. B-)
Could not find that one, found some that be ergonomic.
Logitech actually says WAVE on the space bar.......
My bad! That's the one!! It's a really good unit. Only problem that I have had is that, obviously, the keyboard is dyslexic. 😉
That is SO cool!! B-)
That is way cool. The mitered corners of the copper tubes gives me a great idea for some arts and craft style shutters that I'm working on.
This is a mechanical keyboard. Very comfortable to type on and gives a very satisfying click. just like your old Commodore 64 B-)
I'm rather fond of my Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750
It's never run out on me yet, even during the Pacific Northwest winter. It gets enough light from the nearby window during the day and even shows a little bit of charging at night from the lamp. My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner!
