I'm guessing this has been asked before but I'm not finding previous threads.

Does anyone know of a plugin for Civil 3D or some other software that can read a .pdf copy of a map and draw the linework?

PDFIMPORT is the command to import "true" PDFs. Sometimes the text isn't perfect but the linework usually comes in pretty well.

TBC allows this also. I can import the vector data from a pdf. Text everything comes in. I have seen some text be very quirky from an architect as I am designing and working with for a new house. But I actually can to plat checks very fast when they are good. I get pdfs of plats import as vector. Now sometimes its a raster only and then i need to scale so not as accurate. But it can be done.

Thanks guys. The pdfimport command didn't seem to work so these must not be true .pdfs. I haven't tried TBC yet, but I'll take a quick stab here.

This might be a thing to train an AI bot to do...
