I created a new job in MAGNET Field for the purpose of learning the features of the software. I selected?ÿManual Mode in the?ÿOptical Instrument Configuration Library?ÿunder Survey Settings. Later in the day we created a new job and fired up the RTK. On our way back to the office, I opened my job and continued with what I was doing. I went to?ÿSetup to set my backsight, and the GPS icons (Status, Manage Receiver, etc.) were displayed instead of?ÿBacksight, etc. I selected?ÿManual Mode again, but that didn't change the job?ÿConfiguration library from?ÿNetwork RTK back to?ÿOptical. How do I get back to?ÿManual Mode? I thought job settings were kept with a job. Is this a software bug?
Note: My menu labels may not be 100% correct; I don't have the FC-5000 in front of me.
No, bug. When you opened the job and setup to do RTK, those settings carried over to you opening the test job. So now you need to select optical. That's how it as designed to work. For playing around I suggest you install the demo version on your PC.
Thanks, Lee. I don't know how I overlooked selecting Optical. As far as the demo version goes, I went to the Topcon website to see how to get that. I can play around with it at home. We're waiting on a new FC-6000 at work. Are there any significant improvements over the FC-5000?
6000 has a faster processor and more ram than the 5000.
