i thought Star*net first adjusts network nodes, then adjusts side shots. But I can't get the sideshot points to show up in the listings, and it's not outputting adjusted data either. Something simple I'm missing?

You must have something wrong, Star*Net will do everything you want. Can you post your input files and I am sure someone can help you.

But if your sideshots aren't showing up on the coordinate page, something else must be going on.

There must be something else wrong then. I have that checked. Here's the one data file that has point "7" in it.
I see it in the "Coordinates" tab (three times, no less...haven't gotten to that yet), but not in any of the listings and not in the plot.
Here's the one file that has that point:

When you right-click in the plot screen, do you see "Show Sideshots" checked?

(You see 3 records for point 7 in the coordinate listing because you have the measurement record type as SS. You need to change that to M in order to have Star*Net treat all the foresights as the same point.)

Jim:
I'm running the demo of v8.2. Right clicking has fewer of those options:

And in "Plot Options":

Why would they eliminate side shots as an option?
I'll change the SS lines to M lines and see what happens though.

Thank you, Sir. Both of those suggestions work.
I probably could have figured that out if I had the manual. Does anyone know a simple way to print out the whole manual from the "help" tab? All I can find is "print topic" or "Print topic and all sub topics"...but you'd have to do that dozens of times to make a whole printed manual.

A single PDF would be even better. I have that for V.6 but would love to get one for V8.2.

I'm converting them all to M or DM now. In SurvCE, if you set up at a station, shoot two or three others, then traverse to one of them, the rest come in as sideshots. Easy enough to find them and convert them in Star*net though.
