I have an existing drawing that was made some time ago. Since then, we have made lots of revisions to layer properties like color, linetype, etc. However, the layer names may have not changed. Is there an easy way to take all of the layer properties from a .dwt or .dwg and override the properties in another drawing?

Copy and paste from clipboard has been my go to. The issue I have with this is that any text that has been masked the mask and the text become 2 separate entities. I have been just dealing with that.

Time to learn something new. I figured that it was time to consult my surveyor connect friends. ???? ?ÿ

Got it.?ÿ

For anybody interested to know see settings drop menu>layer library. Go here from your source dwg and save an .LA file then import into your layer library in your new dwg hit match dwg button>library to dwg. ??¯?ÿ

If you are using AutoCAD based Carlson, you can also use Layer States to accomplish this.
