Anyone else having trouble accessing this site?
I have tried 2 different browsers and have rebooted my computer. No joy!!
:excruciating:
I've not had quick results from that site in a while. For the longest time I thought it was our server being slow, but there have been a few comments on this board about it's speed. Only advise I can give is be patient.
What site?
You kind of have to plan ahead if you want to use it. I access it early (5-8) or at night.

GLO used to stand for Government Land Office. Is it a website now? I'll admit to being a little dense, but I have a real hard time with guessing what acronyms mean, and not just on this forum.

From there you can access some info. Some plats and notes and I think patents among other data. I say I think patents but I can't check from here and I can't get on the site right now. The bookmark that takes me to the patent site is on another computer.

They are aware of the problems and have been working on their servers. They were working fairly well for about two weeks. Hopefully they will get the problems resolved soon.

Hello All
The GLO website has had some issues recently. The servers that house all of the data are not adequate. From what I heard new servers are on location and should come online shortly. The best advice is to try early in the morning or late at night.

That site only has about 3,000 Surveyors + help accessing it.
The other site has surveyors from at least 29 of the other 49 states accessing it.
SLIGHT difference in numbers.
I had a conversation with one of the guys; the question was what happened to the pdf and JP2 files?
The answer seems that they have some issues, and that they have a shortage of resources to fix them.
Maybe old equipment and lots of hits, shortage of help. Budgets are tight now, but it seems strange that with the push to get things online the ball gets dropped now. It's like having a decent car, but not putting gas in it.
