Anyone out there using the "Surveyor's Companion" product from Eagle Point in their transition to Civil 3D?

We are long time Land Desktop users and have hit the wall so to speak, and need to update operating systems and cad versions.

I have never used any Eagle Point products, but this caught my eye and I was looking for a review.

I don't know anything about Eagle Point's new stuff. I had a client request that we use Eagle Point. I had to inform him we no longer had a machine that has a 3.5" floppy on it 😛

As long time LDD user's, I am surprised that your choice for transition is to Eagle Point rather than Carlson.
IMO there's NO comparison between the two in ease of use, functionality and economic gains.
Contact your local VAR and get a 30 day trial copy and see what you think.

I think eagle point once had an "add on" overlay onto civil that purported to help users understand civil better. I have never seen it in action. I was contacted by eagle point several times, but we had all ready learned civil by that point and were functional.

I don't believe they make a CAD software. They went with a companion software that works with C3D. Never used it. So I can not comment on it.

I second this notion.
