I have a number of points where the point number and descriptors overlap and trying to figure out how to move them relative to the node so they aren't on top of one another. Any pointers? TIA

Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.

Short answer is “grip and drag”, CAREFULLY.

I just looked for a video and failed.

Others with more help than this are on the way I am sure.

For automated fix you can try the command:

Points > Fix Point Attribute Overlaps

For manual method you may need to toggle the group setting

Group on/off

CTRL + Shift + A

At least that is what works for me
