I am talking about the "crow's feet ~ leaders" at the end of boundary lines & curves, etc...

(1) First of all the Carlson leaders come in way too long for my taste:
(Carlson is on the left, mine is on the right)

(I know I can adjust the length & scale but this picture shows the best per portion I can get, it just ends up too long)

I wonder, is there some way for Carlson to use my crow's feet block instead?

(2) When I want to copy, move, or mirror a Carlson leader, it does not behave. For one thing it is not one block, it is (a) a curved leader line & (b) a separate arrow head.

Then when I do move, copy, mirror, whatever, for example when I need to "break" a line like here:

For some reason, the curved line part disappears after I zoom around and continue to work on the rest of the drawing. The arrow remains, but the curved leader line goes poof.

That'll do for now.

I have checked with tech support on (1) above, I think I am out of luck for now with them (I'll bet some improvement shows up in the programming later though & that will be cool).

I am really hoping that you all might have an idea for me. As of now I am faced with inserting the block for my old crow's feet that I like & copying, rotating, mirroring, etc.

A very cumbersome process.

Issue (2) just popped up tonight & at this point is minor because until you give me a better option I will not be using Carlson leaders in my drawings...

Contact David Carlson directly ... they are fantastic for modifying minor parts of the code to suit individual needs.

I know this isn't helpful but I pretty much have given up on anything automatic at this point. It seems overall easier to have the annotation be a multi-line text which I can add the () record data below. I use leaders as little as possible.

Automatic stuff just never seems quite right so I just draw everything myself.

I agree with you wholeheartedly on Carlson's leaders being too big. I've fought with the multi-part sections of them as well. It is very handy to click "Draw Endpoint Leaders" and have them pop up but they are not attractive. I hope a fix for this shows up here on the board.

Absolutly agree.... Call Carlson! Most people just work around problems in software because they beleive that "it is what it is" because they are not use to receiving real customer service for most of the things they purchase. With Carlson this is not the case, give them a call and they will find a way to make it work for you by any means nessasary (atleast in my experience).
