I like OLE objects (Excel spreadsheets)

And I want to put more into my drawings.

And I want to create multiple viewports to show specific cells in my paper space.

The trouble is, when I create a little viewport, the entire OLE object shows up in paperspace - even the parts outside the viewport. They do not show up in a print preview, but it will make it difficult to draft in paperspace. Is there a super lock? Is this a problem fixed later?

I'm running LDD2i and I don't see the issue. I inserted an existing excel sheet into model space using "insert", "OLE Object", "create from file" option. I was able to create multiple small viewports showing single cells in paper space without the entire sheet showing up. Perhaps they broke it in future versions or we're going about it by different methods.

Thanks for looking. I usually highlight the cells, copy and paste. The insert seems to be a bit more stable.
I did everything same as you, but had the same issue. Bleeding object.

Try right clicking on the OLE object once it is inserted and check "send to back" if it's already printing correctly this might make the rest of the stuff in paper space show up above it and make your drafting easier. You might also experiment with inserting the OLE's on a layer that can be turned off while you do your paper space drafting and then back on before printing.

You could try OLEHIDE to hide it until you need to plot. Set it to 1 to hide and 0 to display.
