For years I have experienced an annoying issue with AutoCAD.
I believe it involves the drawing extents?
Basically there are times that I cannot zoom out any further, even though I am zoomed in fairly close.
A regen will fix the problem. However there are times that I am in the middle of a command and it will not allow a transparent regen command.

So I have to exit the routine, regen, then zoom extents, then zoom in to the area I want to work in and start over.
Anybody else experience this annoying feature?

Do I need to set the drawing extents like I did back in the R12 days?

Yes.

It has taught me to zoom extents ahead of time, especially when I am getting ready to move in real tight to do something.

You can zoom extents simply by double clicking the wheel. I do this all the time; by accident....:-$

I'll give that a try next time. Still annoying. Seems like with all that we pay them each year, they could at least figure that one out.
