Anyone know of a free dgn to dwg converter?
Thanks
Truview may do it. It's a free app from autodesk.
I downloaded Trimble Business Center, and it converts dgn files to dwg files. That is only reason I downloaded that huge file. Converting dgn to dwg is the only thing I use this program for.
It's not free but MicroStation will save dwg files (also open them and work on them). So if someone sent you a dgn they should also be able to send you a dwg.
Why is it that .....
time after time surveyors on this board are looking for free software? Yet we are always complaining that we don't like it when people are looking for a bargain survey!
And I'm not saying that I'm not guilty of the same thing - just asking the question and making a statement.

No problem Dave.
Go spend money on something that's free.
When my surveys are full of ads (and spyware) then they'll be free also.
Microstation's DGN Viewer is a free download from Bentley.
Carlson Survey comes with a DGN conversion routine built in and at no extra cost.
cpdent,
What version did that become available in? Do you know? I want to upgrade, but it is just not in the budget right now. I am currently running 2008.
Thanks,
Jimmy
It's in my copy Of Carlson 2010 with embedded AutoCad.
