I'm sure most people had a few spaz kids in their elementary and high school classes who weren't very bright but liked to gossip and were pleasant enough to be around.?ÿ When I picture a media company work room I can't help but see it filled with all of these kids after they grew up.?ÿ They were too dumb to do anything that required technical know-how, but they could exaggerate and relay information because that takes approximately 2 brain cells to do, and so that became their lot in life.

I kept an Oklahoma City Times newspaper article clip on a bulletin board for years until it yellowed and fell apart.?ÿ It read "Confiscated pot burned in front of several high officials".

The guy that wrote the article had to have known what he had written.

I wrote for our high school "newspaper" and tried (and got) a few headlines by uncaught.?ÿ One of our Psych teachers, Don Webster, took on the responsibility of managing the debate team so I interviewed him and got a headline through, Webster Tries Hand at Mass Debating.?ÿ My English teacher (and head of the extracurricular newspaper publishing) hated me and loathed liking me.

There was a combination liquor store and bait shop about seven miles from my home for several years with the appropriate name of Master Bait and Liquor.?ÿ I did not buy one of their tee shirts as I couldn't figure out where I would want to go while wearing it and its message.

The Dick family owns two liquor stores known as Dick Liquor.?ÿ They use a lot of radio advertising during football season.

When I was growing up my "hometown" had two newspapers.?ÿ A legitimate one and a "fish wrapper".?ÿ 30 or so years ago a Japanese firm was negotiating to build a plant there to produce prophylatics.?ÿ The plan fell through.?ÿ The fish wrapper had a BOLD headline, "Plans for Condom Factory Fall Through.?ÿ Was there a leak?"

I kept that paper for a long time to get a laugh every now and then.

I knew something didn't look right so I went back and looked at a photo of the headline.?ÿ It actually read, "Condom Plant Pulls Out.?ÿ Was There a Leak?"

I remember the news about the headline in 1988:?ÿENQUIRER OWNER GOES TO MEET ELVIS

L.A. Times December 28, 1988:
ƒ??The new [New York] Post is capable of mocking the tabloid sensibility. Reporting the recent death of National Enquirer owner Generoso Pope, whose supermarket tabloid often featured stories on Elvis Presley, the Post headline writers offered: ƒ??Enquirer Owner Goes to Meet Elvis.ƒ?ƒ?

So, how long did it take for the bite marks to go away?

Asking for a friend.

Hmmmmm.?ÿ Just noticed it said "two people". No gender provided for the driver.?ÿ Perhaps they couldn't tell the difference.
