Hello from Minnesota! I attended provincial conventions some years ago in Ontario and Manitoba. All the Canadians I met were excellent surveyors, and very hospitable. You'll encounter a lot of interesting people on this site, and plenty of excellent information.

I'm not legally Canadian, but my wife and kids are, and I did live there (Vancouver area) for 26 years. My mother was Canadian born and my Dad is now a naturalized Canadian. I went to school and started my survey career in Canada. I know exactly where I was when Henderson scored. Me and mine call Oregon home now, but we have plenty of family contacts spread out all over Canada.?ÿ

Welcome to the board.?ÿ

Welcome.?ÿ You will find this to be a tremendous resource and a great deal of fun.?ÿ Try to add as much as you take.

My connection to Canada is very minor.?ÿ Drove via Detroit into Ontario for a few hours twice back in the mid-1970's.?ÿ As a kid I always imagined entering Canada someday by driving north through Minnesota or North Dakota.?ÿ Instead, the first time I was driving south through the tunnel and the second time I was driving south via the bridge.?ÿ That just made no sense at all to me.

????

So, what do you see first, six feet or two meters?

Glad to have another voice and presumably a qualified opinion in matters of workwear and strategies for cold conditions.

I have some family there, out Ottawa way and am hoping to take in the Maritimes with them sometime, or at least Toronto if we can ever get the boarder open.
