The Pabst Brewing Co. in LA still puts PBR in a can and calls it Schlitz. The brewery in Milwaukee is closed.

And after surviving 8 versions in my career of MicroStation and AutoCAD from its inception through Civil3D...looking around for a toggle is old hat.
carry on....
If this is the worst thing to happen to me this week; I will be a happy man...B-)

Thanks Paden. I was really torn on what to do. One consideration was to move to an entirely new software again to bring this forum together with RPLS Today, but I didn't really want to do that if I didn't have to. I think this will work out great. And I really am sorry for changing things so much in the last year or so. I feel bad about all the changes, but at the end of the day, I'll be in a better position to move things forward for all of us. I'm in a really tough spot right now and doing what I have to do to alleviate things.
Thanks everyone for understanding.

Per Wikipedia
In 1999 Pabst Brewing Company gained control of the Schlitz brand with its acquisition of the Stroh Brewery Company
During the reformulating period of the early 1970s, the original Schlitz beer formula was lost and never included in any of the subsequent sales of the company. Through research of documents and interviews with former Schlitz brewmasters and taste-testers, Pabst was able to reconstruct the 1960s classic formula. The new Schlitz beer, along with a new television advertising campaign, was officially introduced in 2008. The first markets for relaunching included Chicago, Florida, Boston, Minneapolis-Saint Paul and Schlitz's former headquarters, Milwaukee. The 1960s classic "gusto" version of Schlitz currently enjoys an almost nationwide distribution in the United States
I've drank PBR and Schlitz side by side in the past few months and they are nowhere close to being the same. Schlitz is heavier, maltier, and has a more pronounced corn flavor.

Apparently Schlitz in 16oz tall boys and bottles is the old recipe, and in 12oz cans its newer crap.
FWIW the Schlitz I've had recently was in tall boys
Who said "They should pour it all back into the horse."?
That was probably me. Schlitz was never close to being my favorite and I sampled every nationwide brand and some local brands........back in the day. Hamms was pretty good, though. Even though I had very little money I learned to avoid the cheap stuff that usually started out "Old.......".

The only way to drink Schlitz in my opinion, from a glass container:
The intergallacticly renowned "Foe'-tee". As in, "Me 'n Leroy blew a blunt and killed a foe'-tee."

[sarcasm]Can we trade our old ones for a new one?[/sarcasm]
@PadenCash
Original recipe Schlitz was renamed to "Old Milwaukee" when the recipe was changed. I visited the Longview brewery from 1971 till it closed and got that straight from the brewermaster.
I am unhappy the Swedish Bikini Team were ran off by a bunch of feminists..........

Still having minor issues...
I have a tab in chrome that let's me access this site like I always did. But when I try navigating to different parts of the site, my log-in disappears.
When I try to log in, my password doesn't work(I may have forgotten it). When i try to reset i get a message telling me it didn't work and to try again.
What's an addict to do???:excruciating:
I sure got a twinge when I tried to log on and saw the "RPLS" ... thought I'd been redirected to that other site!
I did not realize we were talking the "BULL" or Schlitz Malt Liquor! Still remember it was $2.05 in 1976 and a six pack would do three 16 year olds just fine. :bored: Jp

Your bookmarks may be trying to take you back to the "old" site. One thing you could do to try to resolve your bookmarks would be to visit each one, then change the address bar domain from surveyorconnect.com to rplstoday.com then hit enter. If you have logged in to rplstoday.com already, then you shouldn't have to login again.
Another thought is that you may need to clear your browser cache. http://www.refreshyourcache.com/en/home/

I think Schlitz is still made. When the announcement went out that Art Donovan (of Colts fame) had passed a couple years ago, I had Schlitz and hot dogs for dinner to pay homage to his humor and appetite.
No Problems. I thought it was an attempt to have a reprieve from Kent for a few months.
Yer wrong about Schlitz, Brewed again in Milwaukee - Old Recipe - In bottles, as for the rest, TRUTH
Steve
Schlitz in a bottle was the go-to back in the day.
I would rather long into RPLS.com than PLSS.com
