This looks like it could be a handy idea, to keep in your "Toolbox of tricks". One suggestion I'd add, is drain the chain oil first!

Have you ever returned to the truck, to find the battery dead?

It is a Youtube video, to charge your battery, with a chainsaw.

I'm glad he checked...but does anybody know of a chainsaw that drives in any other direction?

Speaking of batteries. It amazes me that some equipment manufacturers, like Topcon, are smart enough make equipment with genetic batteries. Like the camcorder one in my DC cost $29. But others, like Trimble, cost $200. What kind of battery and what voltage is a big deciding factor in my equipment purchases. Wake up manufacturers!

It's hard to MAKE cells. Easy to make Packs. I have taken apart many a "Pack" and re-celled it.

Batteries, toner and ink are things that can break the bank.
I tried these car starter power sources and they just would not survive many recharges.
I have a storage drawer full of all the assorted batteries for my electronic gadgets plus lawn tractor batteries and adapters and 12v plugs for backup.
I had a solar powered TI30X calculator that is probably still operating for whoever pocketed it.
Maybe the manufactures will start putting a solar panel on our TS and have a strip across the top of our DC.
There are many travel solar panel packets out there that will output 12v and fold up like a checkerboard.
There is no end to the need to power the equipment.

Me and chainsaws absolutely cannot coexist. I would just go buy a new battery. 😉

Don't you love paying more for the toner than you did for the printer? :pissed:
