I had an old Zeiss DiNi 10 battery done and worked out well.
Leica batteries are propitiatory, it will be difficult to re-cell one to it's full capacity. Bite the bullet and buy a new one; you'll thank me later.
You might try www.batteriesplus.com, I have had some luck with Leica TPS battery re-celling at a local store (But no specifically the GEB68 as I don't a have a T2000/3000. Won't hurt to ask, if they can get it apart, they can probably replace the cells OK.

Shelby - your experience with Batteries Plus must be different than mine.?ÿ They've screwed up so many items, and generally have such poor customer service around here, that I will not use them except in the most dire of circumstances.

I think I have had them do my old Leica TS batteries twice with success, the 1000 series instruments from late 90's. SO maybe it depends on the store?
