Looking for a used Leica RX1250.

Got one you aren't using?
Who's your favorite Leica dealer?

Half Bubble,

What instrument do you need the RX for? I have a couple of RX1220's with internal radios for communicating with the 1200 series guns in terminal mode. They will not run an ATX1230 type receiver though.

John

Thanks John,

Using an rx1210 now, which is jolly for the robot but doesn't listen to the ATX1230. I want to put the ATX1230 on a pole with an rx1250 and collect VRS RTK and experiment with stop-and-go PPK, plus whatever Smart Pole tricks it will do with the robot.

hello half bubble,

i don't know if you are doing what i was trying recently but you need an RX1250T or RX1250Tc which has the external antenna. You will be running the TPS in 'robot' mode.

you will be able to get the RX1250 to talk to the ATX1230 antenna but you will not be able to get the RX1250 to receve RTK corrections. this will require either of two licenses: a 'smart pole' license which here in AUS is worth about $1000, or the full GPS survey license which is about $6000.

i have been pestering my local leica rep to send me brochures or similar which will outline the full capabilities enabled by each license but you would think they don't want a sale as they don't get back to me.

We got one of them Smart Stations years ago. Supposedly all the license keys will transfer to the RX1250 on a "while using" basis. This should include the keys we got for recording static. Hoping it works.
