Free to a good home. I have the remains of a TCRA1103 w/power search and reflectorless EDM that could be a great source of parts. The instrument was damaged beyond repair in a freak wind storm. A spring storm picked the whole setup up off the ground, along with an out-house about 25' away, and slammed it into the ground. I was way from the office when I got the frantic call from my party chief and the engineer that was on site with him. What made it worse was that it was a demo/rental that our local dealer had given us to test out the new power search option before I upgraded our 1103. Joy of all joys, I got to buy it and it has been sitting in my basement for over 10 years. I always wanted to dismantle it but I guess if I have not done it by now its not going to happen.

If you are interested, just let me know. All I ask is that you pay for shipping. I will ship it in an an old clam shell.

John, hadn't seen this before (only heard the story), looks like actually this survived pretty good, looks like two good displays at least!

The eagle eye case is cracked and the standards are way out of standard but all of the glass made it out okay. When it happened I was hoping they would let me take the power search board and camera out and put it in mine but Leica would not do it at that point. Instead I got to buy this gun and the upgrade for ours.

What a shame, such a magnificent instrument.

I probably should show interest since I have the 1105, but mine is still chugging along and someone else probably needs some part worse than I.

Any chance?

I have some parts available. What exactly are you in need of?

I'd be interested in a motherboard if possible. I'm having some RS232 issues with my 1103+ that I'd like to solve. If you have one (or if anyone else has one) please email me at [email protected]

Thanks!

My TCR 1105 just stopped talking to the DC. So I guess I'm looking for a circuit board that Leica no longer makes.
All Ideas appreciated.

Motherboards can be tricky because they are programmed to match the model of instrument. I have a TCRM 1105 motherboard, but I don't think it would do you much good.

The com issue may actually be caused by a failed Lemo connector in the "funnel" where the data collector cable plugs in or the brush contacts that connect the funnel to the mainboard. They may just be dirty and need cleaning. I wouldn't just assume the mainboard is the culprit. I do have a funnel available if you think that might be the issue (see photo).

Thanks for the effort, but re-installing Leica Geo Office solved the problem. Much ado about nothing......
