As y'all know, I am sorting through the belongings of an old surveyor friend and am selling off some of his things for his widow. At present, I am going through some of the brochures and booklets that he collected over his years of work in various parts of the United States and am coming across some things that might mean something to you folks that live there. I can think of several people at the moment that I would like to send some things to because of where they live, but would be happy to send things to other folks also. If I come across some manuals or brochures pertaining to the stuff I have sold already, I will be contacting those folks to try to get those items to them. I don't play favorites because of religion, politics, etc., so anyone who might want to get something just needs to let me know. My friend worked much of his life in Texas (honestly, I get first dibs on the Texas stuff), Mississippi, Pennsylvania and the Northeast, but collected stuff from all over.

For example, I will be having some pipeline maps etc for Pennsylvania and quadrangle sheets for about 6 states come up. Most of this stuff will be free and I will pay the postage, some other stuff might have a small mailing fee.

At present, I need the following people to drop me an email if you might be interested in some totally free and hopefully not worthless stuff:

Robby Christopher, Jud, Mark R, Paul in Pa, someone from Chicago, Illinois or Illinois in general, someone from Maryland, someone from Wichita, Kansas or Kansas in general.

If you get something and don't want it, feel free to throw it away. I just hate to throw something away that someone else might want. Thanks

I would be interested in stuff from Oklahoma north and west, including the panhandle of Texas and west Texas. Specifically anything in KS, NM, AZ, CA, NV, UT, WY, MT, CO, NE, ND & SD.

Jeff, do you have a list of surveying equipment that is still available. I've had a lot of comments on my chaining kit (like, why the hell did you buy a psychrometer?) and some of the other RPLS would love to add to their collection of vintage equipment.

If he passes on them, I would probably be interested in them as well. I still have boxes of my grandfather's old stuff. One of these days, I may be doing the same thing. My wife and neighbor's were fascinated with an electric eraser. I found that I have 3 of them.

Haven't had time to make a list of anything, but probably will - still too much stuff to deal with easily. I have to fit it all in between my regular work, which isn't leaving a lot of time.
