Wooohoooo. Mines ordered. Im off next week so I went with the free shipping 😉
Glad someone else was able to take advantage. I had to go with overnight shipping as it's a gift for my Dad. He is still using an original that is on it's last leg. He has gone through 4 or 5 over his career.
Ive been trolling there since they sold out in Sep. I hadnt looked in a few days. Glad I caught them before they were gone.
Thanks - just ordered mine!
There's reported to be some type of problem with this model. I thought I read that there was a recall (Possibly on the HP forum or amazon reviews?)
I wonder on the quality and durability of the plastic keys and if they are the same....
Hi everyone. I am hp 15C user that lives in Spain. I bought my first 15C in 1984 when I was at the university. I do remember that I paid $78.00 for a secondhand unit. No cheap at that time but I did not know I was buying a jewel. Since then I have been engaged to my 15C. During the last years I have kept my 15C in a safebox (bulletproof, of course) and I have been using its small sister the 12C (comparing both is like comparing a Toyota with a Lexus).
I have been trying to get a second unit since years. We all know the crazy prices that the 15C has reached in ebay. I was not willing to pay for an everyday use calculator the price of a collector item. Fortunately, the hp 15C is back for a very reasonable price. It is not available in Europe but a good friend who lives in the States has ordered one piece for me. Good news.
And for those of you that are curious about its price evolution in ebay, I recommend you to check it during the next days. To today, its price has dropped from $400.00 to $150.00 and in few days its price has to drop to $99.99. The same price than in the hp shop.
Should anyone want to download a Windows version of the hp 15C, visit the site http://hp-15c.homepage.t-online.de/ Sure you know that site, but just in case.
Regards from Spain, Pepe.

I don't know if you looked on the web site linked above, but the second review and some others addressed the lesser quality of the keys. I cut and pasted a kind of thorough review here:
What a mission to get my hands on one of these, seems demand well out stripped anticipated supply, I ended up paying USD$125 in the end!!
I waited in eager anticipation for the HP 15C Limited Edition to arrive, I had used one from 1985 up until 2001, when the display got broken. Mind you I absolutely loved my old HP 15C, I kept in my top pocket, with me everyday at work.
Anyhow, the speed of the Limited Edition version is certainly noticeable, especially on integration calculations. But…
What’s got my back up is the build quality of the Limited Edition:
1./ Loose keys that don’t quite sit right or straight, several seem to be loose??
2./ The tactile feel of pushing the keys is poor – I’ve still got my original HP 15C in a draw and the keys feel great after 20+ yrs, even the Enter key!!
3./ The plastic quality appearance and touch and feel is poor, so too is the
screen printing; It’s hard to believe that HP can’t at least get the plastic feel right with that good old HP tactile button feel??
4./ It would have been nice to have one of those Hi-Res LCDs, the ones where you can make the displayed numbers bigger, and easier to read for an old guy like me
What would be great is if HP could bring back that build quality of the original HP 15C, or even the HP 42S, which I still use today from 1987 (!!) One that I actually purchased for my son and he gave me his when I broke my HP 15C.
I also still have an HP48S, that I run my programs on; the HP48gII that I tried to replace it with (as an upgrade) was a real let down after several keys broke and I got a tiny Enter key with it too!
It felt like CASIO build quality – even they are apparently more reliable…
Come on HP, we all now you can do better, I’m sure Bill and Dave would be turning in their graves if they knew what was coming out of the factory now…
Mind you it’s great to see the HP 15C back…how about a 2nd release with that good old tried and proven HP reliable performance, build quality and feel???
Sweet Download
Thanks Pepe !
