I have in my possession the below shown table. It needs a good home...out of my office...somewhere other than here. I have neither the space for nor need of it. If you want it come and get it.

I realize that these things are pretty much relics now, but I hate to see it go to waste.

Also included is the glass top for the table as seen leaning against the wall in the photos, as well as a K&E drafting arm.

There will be no selling or buying involved, but if you have an item you want to trade, I'm open for considerations.

If it makes any difference, the table top is 3' x 6' and those are 4' light fixtures.

We still have one and use it probably once a year.

However, in the early 2000's, I was tasked with a LARGE pipeline mapping project. While I was no AutoCAD guru at the time (and still am not) the person making the final maps would send me 1"=400' quad sheets and I would trace my survey grade piplines onto it via the light table. That was fun for about 10 minutes. The project lasted three years.

I don't care if I ever use it again. 🙂

On a side note, shortly after we got AutoCAD, I figured out how to bring in all of my old drafting files and then when we added new lines, I made a master copy and FINALLY got the dude to take the AutoCAD file and snap mine (survey grade) in on the reprojected quad sheets and resubmit to the RRC. When I think back at that project and how good we thought we were doing, and what I could do now with the power of my desktop, I shudder and I'm thankful it was for mapping purposes only. 🙂

Kris,

Should I mark you down as undecided, then? 🙂

Will it fit in a truck or would I need a trailer? Looks like a very nice table.

Mr. Quinn,

I'm sorry to inform you, but the table has been picked up by our local SPCA chapter. It seems as though they have someone there that does drawings and such and had need for it.

Scott,

It's as real as any other cat climbing post you can buy from the box stores. 🙂
