I am about to go take my PLS by Reciprocity test in Oklahoma and was wondering if anybody had guidance on study materials? Especially for the legal portion on the computer based test you take at the testing site.
I took it in February of 2016. I believe it was all paper test format then. I mainly studied the blue book that is provided by the board. There was also quite a lot of section subdivision and if I recall correctly maybe some curve math etc. When I took it you could use an HP48 which I happened to have and I also had a programmed HP35. This was beneficial.
I took it in the fall of 2011. There were 50 multiple choice questions and probably over 40 of them had to do with PLSS corner restorations. At least a couple of the remaining ones had to do with filing of CCRs after doing a corner restoration.?ÿ ?ÿ
I re-studied the BLM Manual and also the example book they provide. Also study the Oklahoma standards, recording, and CCR laws. I found it to be a hard test! Don't forget to study projections for that State.?ÿ
Thanks for the info. I appreciate it.?ÿ
