Is there an online program in the states that offers a BS? I couldn't find one.
In NJ we have the 4 year surveying degree requirement, and there are a lot of people who have already started their careers and can't put their lives on hold for 4 years to get the degree.
Luckily I already had a 4 year degree in civil engineering when I realized I wanted to be a surveyor. I had to go back for the survey degree, but there was a good amount of overlap. It only took me 3 years (including summers) at night to complete the necessary credits. If it had been available online it would have been much easier for me.

Texas A&M, Corpus Christi will offer their ABET BS online starting this fall. All of the geomatics courses will be available, they say. So you might have to make other arrangements for the math/physics/humanities stuff. Trying to point some of our undereducated field monkeys this way...

Exactly what I'm thinking. We have a couple of guys that are interested, but the whole going back to school thing is preventing them from doing it. I think maybe if it were available online it would be more palatable.
