Those who think that the "Party Chief" vest is the best, and those that haven't tried one on yet.?ÿ
I like it.... Pockets are small, (I wear 4xl gloves!
Get your hands out of your pockets!
I bought two of these this summer, and they're great.?ÿ My only complaint about them is that in the summer months they're quite hot, even the lightweight version...
Vest??ÿ What vest??ÿ Highways and hunting season only.?ÿ Most of the time don't need one.?ÿ Pockets, lots of pockets, are nice but frequently unnecessary for my boundary work.
I'd love to have one! I'd also love to work in the field too!

How does it do with robots that track passive prisms??ÿ I've been reluctant to give up my Filson because it doesn't have any reflective material on it.
I keep an ANSI-compliant best in the truck just in case I find myself on a job where it's required, but I've never actually worn it.
I haven't worn a vest in years but the number of pockets was never really an issue. I was taught to wear a pouch and carry a hammer.?ÿ
My first couple weeks here in Texas I would get out of the truck, put my pouch on, which carried (among other things) a tape, keel, plumb bob, marking pen, etc. We were doing some rough staking and I pulled out a tape to get me closer and the PC about fell over. He says, "Is that a tape?!?!"?ÿ
Good times!
Today would be a great day, in Texas anyway, to be outside.
I've got 1 but I think it has little to no reflective stuff on it; it's mostly just yellow with some orange.?ÿ But yeah the pockets are great.
There are three kinds of people in the world.?ÿ Those that can count and those who can't.
I have used Topcon PS103 and Trimble S5 robots with my PC vest on and it has never been a problem.?ÿ Even though I don't work in the highway (much) anymore I still like to have some reflective material about my person.?ÿ ?ÿ
The main use for a tape these days is measure ups. I prefer to use a folding rule for that. But having a tape shouldn't provoke that kind of reaction.
There are two kinds of people; those who put people into two categories, and those who don't.
My PC vest has the?ÿ ANSI standard amount of reflective tape on it. Which means plenty.?ÿ

Get your hands out of your pockets
Listen to the man, keep your hands out of your pockets! And dig for those monuments, don't just stand there!
With my Zoom 90 it will lock onto my vest, but only up close (within 25??), but that??s rare and usually noticeable. I have a one from 3 or 4 years ago, so maybe with the new material things have changed. Still wouldn??t trade it with any other vest. The guy that makes them actually was a field guy for a while before getting into making vests so he got a lot of feedback from us about the features we wanted on the vest.
And I'll utilize the classic once again....
4 out of 3 people have trouble with fractions.....
????
Mr OK my friend, I'm going to have to disagree with you.?ÿ I picked one up this spring.?ÿ I like the fit but the pockets down right blow.?ÿ Just a couple of days into ownership I bent over a MH and the tiny bit of Velcro on the pen pocket flat gave way.?ÿ I lost about $30 buck worth of pens, scribes and scale then and there.?ÿ Maybe I got a lemon but construction looks rushed, the hemming on my was all frayed out of the bag.?ÿ If I don't collard shirt my neck take a beating.
I do like the fit and the fact that it comes with a loop to hang it in the truck.?ÿ I wish I could get a Seco / PC hybrid.?ÿ
As for the reflectivity, the PC is great and my MS50 does not seem to track it.
@john-putnam?ÿ Yeah I took mine to a seamstress at one point to get the stitching done right in a couple spots, so that criticism is legit.
