It seems that some of these scammers claim residence around the New York area.
Just wondered what you think.

Yeah. The way this one works is you put it up for auction, but list a "price" in your description with your email (which is against ebay rules). They might get multiple emails and try to work "side deals" outside of ebay with all of them, get cash from multiple suckers, and of course, never deliver anything.... I bet if you contacted them, they would insist on a wiring them the money, no checks or CC.
That is a fake listing.
Easy signs are:
too good to be true
Contact e-mail address in the description
buy-it-now only in description
Selling big ticket item, after only really buying stuff (in feedback)
Biggest one, is the text in the description is an image (they do that so ebay can't automatically pick up the e-mail and buy-it-now info and reject the listing.
Those only take about 30 seconds to report to ebay right hand side of listing)
Report it, report it report it.
I have spent a bit time trying to report it, but cannot seem to find anybody alive on ebay, that can look at it.

I reported it, but it wouldn't hurt for others to do so.
Below the basic sales info in the topmost screen of the page, at the righthand side, it says "Report Item".
There are various categories and subcategories you can choose. The one I chose gave me no option to type in words, but will alert them to one aspect of the problem.
That is the correct thing to do, I reported it for ya too.
Report it through the system, someone will look at it.
I usually use the one that they are avoiding ebay fees, that will get it pulled down.
They don't need a lot of justification, if they are avoiding fees it is in ebays best interest to pull it. I would be surprised if it is not gone in 6-10 hours.
The reason it is so cheap is because it is a knockoff. A real Trimble would be more but a Trimple sells for much less. 😀
I reported it, too, this morning. Looks like the listing has been removed.
Pawl's fault!
Hm... maybe I was influenced by Paul in PA!
fairandsquareusa, ha! lol!:-D
