I've become very anal about my checkbooks, keeping them in balance and checking them often to be sure they are.

And now it's that special time of year for you know what....quarterlies 🙁

I need some money in the account I pay those with and I have a check for 2640 to do so.

Of course 2640 was just what the accountant calculated I needed so just a coincidence.

I had to write a $190 check out of the account this morning, then deposit the 2640 and a 214 check that I have.

I get the a total in the account after my deposit and I'm different from the bank by $10, which would be the 2640 and the 214 deposited, then the 190 subtracted (how it got in that quick; I wondered).

Only I show $10 more, so I figure I made a $10 mistake.

I'm looking at the register and I don't see a mistake, so I look at what I deposited and it shows 2674, not 2854.

Dang; I must have looked at a check for 2460 and made it 2640 in my head, I go back into the bank and ask to look at the check, and sure enough it's a check for 2640, the bank made the $180 mistake, not me.

I felt relieved that it wasn't me, but WOW you have to watch everything.

The poor girl was ashen, I could tell she was new, and two of the vice-presidents stopped by to chat with as we were figuring it out. They were asking; "what's going on", I don't envy her tonight........

I don't know if it's an age thing or not, but I sure am getting more lexdysic as I get older. Didn't use to be at all. I hope the poor girl don't get fired. That's a bad way to start out.

I thought you were going to mention the dyslectic insomniac atheist who laid awake nights wondering if there really was a dog.

Transpositions Are Not Dyslexia

Transpositions are easily made and easily found. 9 is the key factor in finding transpositions.

Dyslexia is much more complicated than transpositions.

This guy stumbles up to the airport bar muttering under his breath.

"What's the matter?" asks the man sitting next to him.

'See that ticket saleswoman over there at the counter? Gorgeous ain't she? Well I need to get to Pittsburg so I walk up to the counter, see this beautiful woman with the hottest body 've ever seen and I say, I need two pickets to titsburg! Gawd, I am so embaressed!"

The guy at the next stool says, "I had that same problem this morning at breakfast. I meant to ask my wife to hand me the corn flakes and instead I said, YOU miserable woman You've ruined my life!"

Had a party chief that had a problem when there were a number with only 1s and 4s in it.

He was bound to transpose digits 100% the first time and that was the day when he learned to check his digital readout on the gun several times before proceeding.

😉

You could have just deposited 40 chains. Less digits to transpose.
