Does anyone use the EJCDC contracts when acting as a sub-contractor to a General Contractor for construction staking projects, or do you just mark up the General Contractor's standard contract? Based on courses I've taken from my E/O carrier, they recommend a "Professional Services Agreement" rather than accepting the General Contractor's standard contract.
If you use an EJCDC contract, what document do you use? I've seen the EJCDC document "E-560 2010 Agreement Between Engineer & Land Surveyor for Professional Services, 2010 edition" but also wonder if document "D-505 Standard Form of Subagreement Between Design/Builder & Engineer for Professional Services" would apply if modifed to fit the proejct?
Any help would be appreciated.
