Cool, baby, cool.?ÿ You're in heat and I'm slipping on the ice.?ÿ What say we stroll up under that tree where the ice never made it to the ground.?ÿ Tell, Junior, to take off and join his buddies in a game of frozen turd hockey.
Is that blue lightning coming down out of the sky??ÿ Whatever it is it has to be coming down cause we ain't got no stuff going up that high.?ÿ Well, maybe.?ÿ If we are standing near the gigantic trash pile at the regional land fill.
Blue Lightning? We rarely get Thunder Storms; the sky is that color, because it's the crack of dawn. There is maybe some artificial light, mixing things up. The forecast for the day is a high of 60, partly cloudy with a chance of showers this afternoon.?ÿ
Eye level, of the camera, is about 70'; the top of mount Rainier (32.28 miles away) is 14,411.2' ( I know a guy that went up there and measured it)?ÿ NAVD88.

I was referring to the dark blue streaks on the mountain resembling lightning coming down from the sky.?ÿ We can't even see far enough from the western edge of Kansas to see anything that high above the horizon.?ÿ Thus, it couldn't be anything we could relate to.
No, they just converged into one big one, just like in "Independence Day"

By the way I have a photo (or SWMBO does) from a similar angle taken a few years ago when we drove through Puyallup and were actually looking to get a good picture of Rainier, thought about stopping in, but figured you were out taking advantage of the weather. Not sure if it was you or not, but saw a guy carrying a setup by the new parking structure for the Emerald Queen that was being built at the time.
