Where you going to put the monitor?
I had a plywood desk on the side of the box in the bed, it folded down.
Then they took my 2008 F250 and issued me a 2018 RAM 2500. The RAM has a 6-6 bed (instead of 7-0) so we had to shorten the box and it is higher with a shorter cab. The F250 was lower so we had a tall shell on it. In order to keep the overall height of the new pickup under 7' we put a shorter shell on it so my desk no longer worked, had to remove it.
Don't forget to take that contraption off the steering wheel when you leave the truck. Because if your luck is anything like mine, the horn will get stuck on soon as you are out of earshot!?ÿ

anyone use a "virtual desktop" set up when using Autocad??ÿ
I do. I'm sick of taking my workstation all over the place. I've been using an Ipad Pro with the new beta version of IOS. This allows me to use a keyboard and mouse and plug in external flash drives. Teamviewer works very well for an application like this.
