Our work has been slow, but we are getting loaded down lately and may be looking for new people soon.
I am with Maptech, Inc. in Jackson,MS. I would suggest calling Chris Pesnell at Maptech (601)664-1666 and see if he can send you an application to attach to a resume. At least get your name on the list.
If you are up in the Jackson area, we are at 3181 Greenfield Road. It's a Jackson mailing address, but we are physically located on the east side of Pearl, MS. Just off the Crossgates exit on I-20.
I can make no promises, but there appears to be a lot of work on the horizon.

I've been laser scanning and laser tracking for 15+ years. If you cannot explain it, I understand. I call BS on your statement. You and you alone, should be able to backup your statements in an interview process.

I have seen too many technichians make similar statements without technical backup. If you cannot defend it on this forum, I would suggets that others not hire you. Otherwise it seems as unsubstantiated puffery.

Please defend your statement.

The clients whom I preformed the jobs for can back up my work. I need not explain myself to a "know it all" like yourself. I can say your parents named you correctly "DICK"

If you talk like that in interviews, no wonder you don't have a job.

"The clients whom I preformed [sic] the jobs for can back up my work..."

Is this the same attitude you took with your previous employer(s) when asked to explain your work?

Will you be bringing your clients to the interview to explain "your" work to your potential employer?

Most Professionals like to think that they can explain their work processes themselves. Why should you expect your client to explain your accuracies better than you?

I apologize for busting your chops on a typo. That is not a terrible error on a discussion board. I was just poking a little fun.

But Tommy is right. So is Richard. You might be able to convince a client you have millimeter precision, but most good surveyors know the precision of their edms, scanners and control points. Even setting a control point to millimeter stability would be a big task. But most reflector devises have only so much precision in every measurement, and those are usually published. If a surveying and scanning professional is questioning your precision, you might be wise to think about your resume and the claims you are making on it.

A potential employer like Tommy will be looking at your exchange on this board, and will doubtfully consider hiring you because of your apparent attitude. Good luck. I don't wish any fellow survey ill will, but you might rethink your resume. Maybe you are feeling a lot of anxiety over not having a job, but this isn't the place to take out your irritations in my humble opinion.

Normally, we would remove this sort of comment immediately. However, we think by leaving it that you are making your own bed. With a comment like that, I'd never hire you for anything.
