someone with desire to learn a trade, someone that is dependable and likes good pay!
Office is in the country, you can shoot guns and hunt to your hearts desire before and after work. You can bring your dog to work as long as it behaves itself.
Large ranch surveying is our mainstay and have several years of work on our plate right now.
Rough, hard work, but no place like the Hill Country.
Will guarantee 40 hours a week and most weeks a lot more.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided as well as an occasional golf outing or a fishing trip.
Just a good attitude, dependable and desire to learn is all that is asked.
Not really wanting to hire anyone with any experience in surveying, you will get that from me.
Young buck or slightly worn out like myself are encouraged to apply.
Email is good in the profile.
Thanks,

Sounds like a dream Randy. Plus you're a good guy and I'm sure you're a good boss to work for. If I was looking...
Slightly worn 58 year old PLS. -15 degs this morning. Looking at 13 degs right now. 5 to 8 inches of snow predicted tomorrow. Sounds pretty good about now
Some lucky person is about to get a good job and learn a great profession from a good surveyor.
Nobody showed up to help today, making your offer very tempting.
It would be easy to load the truck, ATV and boat with as much as I can carry and and tandem my way there.
Just my luck, got another call to remind me how full my plate is and it blew that dream cloud away.
BTW, my help wanted talks are beginning to change from Help Wanted to RESCUE NEEDED.
hang in there B-)
Now that sounds great!

Yes indeed.
Twenty five years ago I would have jumped on that in a heartbeat! I may mention it to my son....
Me. "What's the difference?"
T.C. Carroll "It's the difference between right and wrong!"
You might try catching a young soldier ETSing from Ft. Hood. Check here: Ft. Hood
You should be able to describe the job and they'll be able to search for matching MOSs. You'll be meeting up with Engineer, Field Artillery, and Mapping types. I was a Field Artillery guy myself. I had the basics in that I could set up and use an instrument and tape so I was useful to my employer from day 1. You should be able to find some highly motivated, easily trainable candidates. The Army is very much a mentor-based organization, so they'll take to your setup.
