CFA, Inc. is a Northern Nevada Civil Engineering, Planning, and Surveying firm that has been in business since 1981. We provide our clients with personalized service from inception through design and construction of both private and public sector projects.

CFA is currently seeking applications for the position of Land Survey Technician or Project Surveyor. The successful candidate should have a strong technical abilities with 3-5 years of experience in land surveying in an office capacity working on a wide variety of public and private sector projects. Primary responsibilities will be in an office capacity, but recent field experience and experience with Trimble robotic and GPS instrumentation is a plus. This position will work directly under the principal land surveyor and require the following skill set:
• Good mathematical and analytical skills.
• A demonstrated experience with AutoDesk computer assisted drafting software, particularly Civil 3D.
• Preparation of maps, plats and exhibits including: recorded maps, boundary, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys and topographic surveys
• Preparation of legal descriptions and exhibit maps.
• Analysis and interpretation of construction documents and preparation of calculations for construction staking.
• Ability to work semi-autonomously as well as enjoy being part of a team.

This is a full time long term position offering a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation depends on experience. PLS licensure (or the ability to obtain it) is not required. College degree is optional, but preferred with preference given to A.S. or B.S. in Land Surveying.
