Well, I wish I was there. One of the hottest days I've ever experienced was in Christchurch, summer with the NW'er blowing. I was working at Lake Coleridge Power Station and one Saturday morning drove into Christchurch to go to the gym. By the time I got there it was 40 deg C and the gym had shut because the aircon couldn't cope. With no trees in the fields for shade, all the sheep had huddled together.

48f and raining in Puyallup today...

If I was enjoying a cold adult beverage; while sitting in the shade, at the beach: I'd rather be down under.

As I was surveying; I'm glad I was in Puyallup! ?ÿ ? ?ÿ

That's about what we are getting - 32 celsius today - more than enough to make a lunchtime dip pleasurable

Assuming that's all of your clothes on the shore, you weren't wearing much more than your boots.

My boots are on the top of the pile - holding down my hat, shirt and socks

Santa Anna winds here for the last couple days, crested 90*F yesterday on my front porch.
Not a typical winter, the reservoirs are very low, some are praying for rain.
Grandson was painting the parapet wall on the garage today, the paint was drying on the roller and brush too fast.

When the Santa Anna winds arrive in NE Texas, usually something that happens around August, it creates the most miserable blow torch days ever.

It happens when the burning heat of the deserts is carried up above the lower layer of air bypassing much of northern Mexico and southwestern USA and is then dropped down onto NE Texas.

Pine trees begin to sweat something that will dissolve the paint on your vehicle.

Want to trade? We've had gusts up to 70 mph. Literally picks up rocks that can blow out windshields.

Within a few minutes can feel the heat being sucked from your bones.

Ahhh, the price of paradise. Sigh. Think I'll find something to work on inside today.

Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.
