Anyone know what's going on. My Leica dealer told me about a month ago it would probably happen in about 4 or 5 weeks. Have not heard anything official though.

I've heard rumors of it, but no dates that i've seen. Shoot and email to Ron Hanson at [email protected]. He's in charge of running the FDOT network

I talked to someone today with FLTGeosystems (they're the ones doing the upgrade...I believe), and he said something to the effect the PO had been okeyed, and that the install/upgrade work would be taking place in several weeks...so sounds like it may still be several months away from being turned on

I know a guy who put in a bid to do the work (lost). He told me last year that the plan was to shut the system down in late Dec. then have the new system up for the new year. I thought that sounded optimistic, and I guess it was.

It makes me wonder if it will be necessary to shut the system down, or will they just shut down one a time, position the new receiver, adjust for the new heights (etc.), put it back online. How will the software switch-over take place? I'd suspect we'll know something when we start getting outages.
