Are you running Trimble Access on the controller? If you are running Access then you must cable to the instrument.

Our salesman told us that our TSC3 Access would not talk to our Topcon 3105w's. We would have to buy a Nikon to use the TSC3.

Access will only BT to Trimble, Nikon, and Spectra, as noted above. But I'm reasonably sure that Survey Pro will BT to a Topcon.

I've also tried to connect my TSC3 to my Topcon 225W via bluetooth. They connect bluetooth outside of Access but not within the program. Very weird.

If I remember correctly starting with Access version 2015.20 or 2015.21 you can connect with bluetooth.

According to Trimble's release notes you can connect BT to Topcon in 2015.21 and 2015.22 but I haven't tried it yet. You would pair the instrument in Windows and then select it as the Conventional Instrument to connect to in GNSS Functions (under Instrument) > Bluetooth

My testing has shown that Trimble has locked out their software from using the Bluetooth unless it is on their very specific list. My instruments are not on the list, so, I am using Parani's in a plastic box. I will look up the Access versions as I am curious
