I have a R8 model 3 with a couple of issues.?ÿ Wondering if anyone else has seen this.
The Bluetooth went out a while back, so have been starting with the cable.
The current problem the unit is starting as soon as the internal battery is installed.?ÿ It appears that there is an issue with the power switch.?ÿ It seems that it is stuck on and the unit is in reboot mode.?ÿ If I tap the button it does seem to operate correctly.?ÿ But then it will in a while stop transmitting the radio signal.
?ÿ
Any thoughts?

Sounds like the radio is about to go out. You could try to flash it.

Fortunately sounds like if reflashing doesn't work you have a board issue.?ÿ I use R8's as well?ÿ
, haven't had that issue but to me theres a board issue.

I've had similar issues, they needed to be sent in, loose wire (as I recall, it's been a while) once, new board the second time. I try and treat them more gently now.?ÿ

I will try to reflash.?ÿ But have not had much success in the past with that in the procedure.?ÿ I was hoping it could be the power button.?ÿ Based on comments may ne more serious.
Are there still parts available for the model 3s??ÿ ?ÿSitting here with two model 2s, with parts no longer available.

The power button could be bad, that's a pretty common issue with those. But the Bluetooth is a different problem.

The bluetooth is not a big issue being the base unit.?ÿ I just start the survey via a cable connection.?ÿ Unless its an indicator of a bigger issue.
