Hi There:

I'm trying to make the codes thing work for us, but I can't figure out how to make the strings thing turn on (so I can have multiple lines of the same code (EP1, EP2, etc.).

In the manual, it shows a picture of a little blue and symbol (&) under the Cntrl Code. I can't seem to figure out how to make this work on my data collector. I downloaded the PC version and got the same thing. I also can't edit it under the multiple codes section (in the table where it says String).

Did they change the format in 8.2.2, or am I missing a setting somewhere?

Thanks,

Paul

The key is to define your code type as line instead of point. When you use a code defined as "line" TopSurv will automatically show the box where you define the string. Check out this tutorial TopSurv Code vs Note. You'll probably have to login to get to it but it explains the process pretty well.

Thanks Stephen. I'll give that a try.
