We are having some RTK trouble with running our Hiper Lite+ base unit with a Hiper II rover unit. We have always been able to run both the Hiper Lite+ rover and Hiper II rover at the same time for RTK, both off of one base. Recently we had to replace a screen on our handheld, once we got it back from topcon, all of our settings were gone. Now we cannot get the right configuration to run multiple rovers off of the same base. Both of the radios are the same in both units. Does anyone have any experience with this?!?!Topcon is no help since they decided to start charging a 500$ fee for tech support...
Make sure you are on the same channel and make sure they are all using the same radio protocol i.e fh915 or fh915ext
Thanks for your response! We've double checked this 10 times!!We can connect both rover units to each others bases, but we cannot get them to work together simultaneously...both are on channel 1 fh915.
Could it be the radio compression protocol? I am not a Topcon equipment user. We use Trimble. But our older GPS rover and base can only use an older radio compression protocol. When our newer GNSS system came out Trimble had develop another newer radio compression protocol that the old system can't understand.
So when we use them together we have to select the older compression protocol.
Just a thought.

So you are saying that if you just use the two Hiper+ as a base a rover, it works. If you use the Hiper II as a rover, and a Hiper+ base, it works? But if you try to use Hiper II and a Hiper+ as a rover, with a Hiper+ Base, at the same time, the Hiper II does not work?
That's really strange because the base unit only sends signals, so it has no idea how many rovers are using the signal. There really is no setting to make a base run multiple rovers in a base/rover/radio mode.
It almost has to be a setting. Some of the Hiper+ did not have RTCM3, but that is probably the standard for the Hiper II. Have you verified that all three units are on the same standard, or tried setting all three units to RTCM2.3, instead?
Thanks for your replies! We finally got it working...hiper II base with both hiper II rover and hiper+ rover....there was no solution for a few minutes then boom, it turned on and went to fixed....none of us are really sure why it didnt just hop right on..but everything seems to be back to normal now. All we had to do was wait...Thanks again for posts!!
