Thanks
Thanks. I've passed all the NCEES Exams, just the State Specific left. The one time I sat for it, had only been working in the State a few months, and didn't know state law very well(I did pass the Principles on 1st try). The company I work for now has me performing ALTA, Boundary Surveys, Land Division by Survey, etc, allowing me to do my own calcs and Section Breakdowns. Now I know what to expect and am ready. Been studying all month, heavy the last week. Kansas has a tough State test. Many Surveyors I know are glad not to have to take it today. Most passed before the calculator restrictions. In my opinion learning the long hand calc's can only make us better Surveyors.
Thanks for the support.
Thanks
may the force be with you
Thanks
Mark, try not to discuss Politics before the test....;-)
Good Luck...
Good luck, Mark.
Best wishes....knock it out of the park!
Thanks
Don't worry about it, just relax. There is 2 things that can happen. You pass or you don't. After that, there is 2 things that can happen. You make a high enough score to retake the next time or you don't. After that, there are 2 things that can happpen. You get to retake the test or the Board will tell what you need to do or study to pass the test. Good Luck and I think you'll be just fine.
Good thoughts headed your way
Godspeed good sir
Good luck, Mark.
Remember...Time Management...
Thanks
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hi5: :stakeout: :gammon:
If you pass let me know!! I'll send ya a small goodie package. 🙂
Time management has never been a problem. I finished all 4 hr lsit and principle with over an hour left. Typically about 30 minutes on the 2 hr tests. What killed me last time was the lost corners long hand. I tried to rush through them, and didn't look at the questions very well. I'm better prepared with better formula's and more experience now. Thanks for all the advice. My plan is to run through State Law this AM, and get to test over an hour early and calc a few corners just before. Feeling pretty confident today. My current employer has helped a lot with the jobs I work on now, and more responsibility on the breakdowns, calcs, etc. Having a good surveyor mentoring is the most important in my opinion. When I pass I'll have to give a thank you to my boss LLoyd, and the other supporting surveyors through my career. Another thanks goes to Larry P., for the great study material over the last year. Pass or fail the support has been very helpful to my surveying toolbox.
I'm wondering who I should strangle for scheduling on Friday the 13th lol. We also have severe weather rolling in. Possible tornadoes, and very likely Thunder Storms. The test might be the least of my issues today.
Have a great day and weekend to everyone.
Thanks

When I took it I didn't need a calculator. Just a pencil. No scratch paper either.
Of course come November that will have been 20 years ago. Then it was a 20 question/1 hour test. Took 20 minutes.
Thanks
Our State Specific is heavy on Lost Corner Calcs. Most of the questions being worth 10-18 pts. While the easy no math questions are worth 2-4 pts. They will give partial points if we show our work, and the methods are correct. Most of us do these calc on the pc in cad, or with a data collector. It's good for them to have these questions, it made me learn the methods and formula's much better.
Thanks

I obviously didn't make my statement clear. I was talking about the Kansas state specific that I took nearly twenty years ago. It appears to have changed considerably.
Thanks
It was a surprise to me all the calcs. Each corner must be calc'd to the hundredth, and they are not multiple choice.
Thanks

That is the same layout as the AR exam I took back in February and I believe MO is the same. Those are some tough tests.
I am testing in WV today; leaving soon to go grab some lunch and hit the road to Charleston.
Good luck.
Thanks
They are tough.
Good Luck on your test.
