Well, I assume the number at the top is someone's license or registration number. And I know the principal meridian for Montana is just called the Principal Meridian. It doesn't have a first name like all the others (5th Principal Meridian or Huntsville Meridian, for example). So I'll take a wild guess and say the PM at the bottom of the cap puts her somewhere in Montana, but that's all I've got.
I think your right - she doesn't want to be found!

It looks like she is at the corner of sections 12, 41, 47, and 98, but even the most screwed-up township I've seen on maps didn't go to section 98, only about 45.
well_Mrs.File has moved on to visit her brother. The point above was in Las Vegas. The cap markings are pretty peculiar- looks more like distances like 41.98 and 47.12.
anyway- she said they saw ZZ Top at Sammy's woodfired Pizza.

Vegas, eh? Perhaps that is the Prostitute Meridian and the numbers represent the number to be found between this monument and the next one.
