I just need one line marked. Very simple. Shouldn't take long.
What's so complex about it?
1 line. That's 2 coordinates!
If you want to check the rest, that's your business. But I don't want to pay for it!
I used to survey, and I know it don't take that long to set a line that's only 450' long. And, I already know where the one in the front is!

Dang you.?ÿ Get back to Arkansas.?ÿ Stop talking to my client base. ???? ?????ÿ
It??s all just done on a computer, so what??s taking so long?
All yer hafta do is download the image from the tax office, and stake it. Easy peasy. If I had a computer I could do it myself.

I heard a surveyor say that to an architect one time. ?????ÿ
If it was easy anybody could do it.
We just make it look easy by our expertise.
Or, we make it look easy because we aren't really doing our job in the first place.?ÿ I hate to say it, but there are too many shops that operate as if we were selling shoes instead of professional knowledge.?ÿ Volume is everything mentality.
His budddy knows where the boundary line is, used the OnX Hunt app on the cell phone.

Yeah, I've heard that a thousand times.
"If I had the equipment I could do it myself" "I was thinking of renting the equipment so I could do it myself."
If they had the equipment they wouldn't know what to do with it.?ÿ If they figured out what to do with it then they would cause more trouble for themselves and their neighbor than they realize.
I used to survey, and I know it don't take that long to set a line that's only 450' long.
I usually follow up with "oh yeah, where were you licensed?"?ÿ What they usually mean is they pulled a chain or pressed buttons for a surveyor at one time in their life.?ÿ It is my personal experience that those touting to have "surveyed" at one time are usually the people who didn't make it very far.?ÿ They just say these things to try to get a better price, and usually have no clue what a good price is.

Why are you even out here? Isn??t it all in Google Earth?
I did have a Battalion Chief very surprised we couldn??t survey a 50 acre airport and emergency communications facility in a couple of hours with our new technology.
I used to survey....
I always respond..."So why did you quit?"
For those who want to do it themselves, ask them what are the coverages for their Worker's Compensation insurance, Professional Liability insurance, General Business Liability, and truck and equipment insurance.
Tell 'em you'll do the job for free if they pay for your insurance.
